I normally do mine in a pan, loads of wet stuff and bubble away for a couple of hours. Wondered how to do it in the slow cooker though. Do I brown the meat? What about the onions etc how much liquid?

Thanks

I brown the mince , onions, garlic etc in the pan, making sure theres no fat left, tip that in the warmed slow cooker and add in whatever sauce am using. To be honest I normally throw in a jar of pasta sauce, tin toms and some water, Worcester sauce, oxo cubes, salt and pepper etc then. I normally leave it on low for a day whilst am at work or if am in I put it on high for a few hours. I don't find there's too much liquid.

i use same recipe as pan one, but instead of stock i just add the cube and none of the water (or maybe just couple of tablespoons). it looks very dry at first. i don't brown anything, but you have to bash the mince up a bit

The only wet stuff I add is a tin of tomatoes and a couple of tablespoons of oyster sauce, otherwise I make it as normal in the pan and transfer to the slow cooker for the rest of the day
