its getting cold and im rubbish with food most of the time - some nights i do a full jamies 30 minute meal and love it but other times if its just me and the kids who wont eat anything "fancy" i end up cooking them rubbish and grabbing a bowl of cereal.
i realise thats not great and someone today suggested soups. and i thought "of course!" soups!"
i could freeze them.
i could take them to work.
the kids love soup and they are healthy and nutritional.

so the only snag is i havent a clue where to start!
please can you post your yummiest recipes (nothing too taxing though!) for me to whip up some nutritious and delicious soups?

ive only got a hand blender but it does the job.

ta in advance!

Marking my place. I'll put up a recipe after lunch. I'll then be printing this thread out so I've got whole winters worth of yummy, healthy (diet compliant) lunches.
Brilliant. [hgrin]

haven't read full thread but the ottolenghi harira recipe is really good. I made it with 2 kinds of lentils and a bit of neck of lamb, it is very good indeed if you like a spicy arabic flavour.

Jamie Olivers roasted pepper and tomato is easy and always tasty. I use a jar of roasted peppers.

Every Thursday is soup night in our house and here are some favourites. Not adding recipes as such but just some ideas.

Jamie Oliver mushroom and mascarpone. Yum!
Celeriac (amazing with truffle oil)
Leek, potato and pesto.
Butternut squash and chorizo
Black bean soup (nigella and delia do good ones)
Tom Yum soup
Pea and ham
Sweetcorn and chilli

I'm itching to try a broccoli and Stilton but dh not impressed. Oxtail also not the cards this winter.
