am v excited if a bit trepidationary.

have already made home made cranberry sauce thanks to mumsnet and am also making braised cabbage thanks to you lot!

when nigella says keep the coke cooking liquid when you roast the ham, what do you keep it for, it doesn't say on the channel 4 website version of the recipie....

I am with you now. I think they say that as the cold liquids will take so long to heat up in the slow cooker so it is better if it is hot to start it all off if that makes sense. I think it would work though if you just did it for a bit longer. If you are heating the coke in a pan anyway you may as well cook the ham in the pan...Have fun.
