Does any one else find that fan ovens dry cakes out???

Hello, I have reduced the temp by 20 degrees but my sponge cakes have never tasted quite as moist as ones made in my old electric oven...does any one else find this and are there any solutions apart from buying a new oven??? Thank you!

Yes, I found this. I bought a gas oven in the end. However, have you tried putting a bowl of water on the base of the oven? You might have to experiment a bit, but I often do that (even with my gas oven) when i want a long, slow cook but the food to stay moist.

No, I havent found that- I reduce by 10 degrees and usually cut time by err...a bit too- maybe 15 %?

I have conventional option too so I might try that and see how it compares!
