to eat with pasta? Tinned tomatoes please!! The children love chorizo but didn't appreciate my Creme Fraiche and Sweet Chilli sauce last week (twas lovely!).

I'm off to bed now but hopefully there may be some suggestions in the morning!

Dead simple but fry up some garlic and the chorizo then add in the chicken once some oil has been released from the chorizo. I tend to add lots of veg eg. mushrooms, onions, peppers, baby corn etc then add a tin of tomatoes and a pinch of sugar or sweetner to stop the sauce getting too acidic. (If you like your food quite spicy then you could add a fresh chopped chilli in with the garlic). Then simmer till the veg is soft and serve with your cooked pasta and some grated cheese.

Not really for serving with pasta but this recipe is lovely. Best served with lots of fresh bread.

I made a Prawn and Chorizo Pasta last week. Very small amount of chorizo 1oz max, 1/2 a red pepper and 1/2 an onion, all chopped relatively small and sauteed in a little olive oil until tender. Add about 350g passata, some seasoning, a pinch of sugar and chopped fresh basil. Simmer this while the pasta is cooking so that it reduces a little. Right at the end, add 8oz fat cooked prawns and heat gently through. Stir the drained pasta into the sauce and serve. Serves 2.

Done in slow cooker - fry chicken and chorizo and an onion, add x2 tins tomatoes and a tin of chick peas or about 150g of chickpeas soaked overnight. Add some tomato puree and garlic puree and a bay leaf. Cook all day on low. Serve with crusty bread. Yum.
