I had no time to go to the shop or yeast to bake a loaf.

So I made Yorkshire puddings to dunk.

I am a convert.

Anyone else tried it?

Haven't tried it but will. One of my favourites is leftover yorkshires dipped in the cooled gravy, just lovely.

Or with golden syrup.

I often do yorkies with casseroles

When i say "do" I mean open a packet of Aunt Bessie and heat them in the oven.

headfairy · 19/09/2011 20:24

ooh that sounds fab, especially with a meaty winter soup, beef and winter veg or something

Mmmm I love yorkies, haven't tried them with soup, but I will.

Cheese scones are also lovely.

I have made another batch with rosemary and garlic [just for me] as DP is due home soon.

I have also dropped an egg into the bottom of the soup bowl to 'poach' for DP.

I often serve my stew in huge yorkshire pudding 'bowls'.
