ok then here goes
I guess this would serve 10 little ones with rice

500g mince beef
2 onions finely chopped
2 carrots grated
1 big tablespoon of oil
1 clove of garlic minced
1 teaspoon of paprika
1 teaspoon of sweet chilli sauce - I wouldn't use chilli powder, you could use 2 but taste it
1 tablespoon of soy sauce
2 cans chopped tomatoes
very generous, about 100ml slurp of tomato ketchup
2 cans of kidney beans drained

greek yogurt and chopped coriander to garnish if you're feeliig adventurous

do you need instructions?

Thanks, SW. No, I should be OK with the cooking. I'm sure they'll go for this, especially with the magic ketchup in it, works wonders IME.

Here's one:

Serves 4 or serves 96(!) in brackets
175g onions (1.6kg)
1 tablespoon olive oil (175ml)
450g minced beef (5.4kg)
1/2 teaspoon chilli powder (25g)
a pinch of oregano (2 teaspoons)
115g tomato puree (1.3kg)
1 x 400g can baked beans (6 x 800g cans)
175g rice (2kg)

Peel & chop onions
Heat oil in saucepan
Fry onion & mince till mince browned & onion softened
Add chilli powder & oregano, cook for 1-2mins
Just cover with water, put lid on and cook gently for 25 mins
Add tom puree & baked beans & cook for further 2-30 mins, removing lid and turning up heat slightly for the last 5 mins
Cook rice

Serve with some tortilla chips.

No worries

I will have to live vicariously through your charges as my two are the fussiest kids on earth and wouldn't touch this with a bargepole. Tut.
