ok i cant cook or i won't cook its a bit of both after a days work how not arsed can i be.

well, heres my problem. i started getting mince beef - good mince beef cos am a mince beef snob - any road up..all i can do with it is fry it and add frozen veggies and a can of tomatos and some garlic and herbs and squidy stuff from a tube. then it goes in a pitta pocket with salad or in a flat bread we call a fajita - though its reallynot.

anyway. i have mince in the fridge all defrosted and ready to go - tonight we had a revolution. the kids decided they would rather die a painful death than eat it AGAIN! i was all for letting them die the painful death when dh made tuna salad baguettes

so i have this mince - quick recipies - nowt fancy, nothing that takes preperation and can be done quick

any ideas

This is for 2.5 people, so double it.

Beef Risotto

250grams Minced Beef
1 x onion
1 x clove of garlic, crushed or chopped
1 x tin of chopped tomatoes
2 x carrots peeled and sliced
1 x pint of chicken stock
1 mug full of rice

Fry mince and onion, when browned, chuck everything else into a LARGE saucepan, then go and watch the telly for an hour remembering to stir it every 10-15 mins and maybe add a bit more water if getting dry.

Serve with a bowl of grated cheese to sprinkle on top and garlic or crusty bread.

Does your family like spicy food? Mince and potato curry is quick and cheap, serve with salad and rice. Basically just buy a jar of Patak's curry paste (not sauce). Do you need a v basic recipe?
