any recipes for shoulder of pork for xmas dinner

I'm doing a turkey crown and shoulder of pork for xmas dinner. Any ideas what to do with the pork? Welcome any comments on turkey as well!!!!! Running out of inspiration this year

Pork with garlic and fennel seeds is a classic and absolutely bloody delicious.

do u just rub the pork with the garlic and fennel seeds? Where do I get fennel seeds from - can't get them on tesco

Slice the garlic, make slits int he pork with a veg knife, all over the joint, and stuff the slices in.

Fennel seeds can be got in delis. You might have to shop around. Sorry not to be more helpful.

(We grew ours how smug is that? PMSL at myself.)

I've cut out a nice recipe from Saturday's Telegraph forshoulder of pork with quince compote.
Dh has orders to bring a tonne of quinces home from Turkey tomorrow.
