Can I make porridge in my slowcooker?

Can anyone give me a reliable recipe that they use?

Also any ideas for other things I can make in it? Only things I've done in it are stews really! I'm just thinking ahead to winter and thought there must be more I can do!

Any ideas gratefully received!

You can indeed!

I usually do two cups of oats to maybe seven or eight cups of water - or you could maybe do the last couple of cups of milk to make it creamier. Put it on low just before bed and it's lovely in the morning. Sometimes i add a handful of sultanas or dried apricots to it overnight. Serve with milk or maybe some honey.

There are so many things you can do in your slowcooker - there are some really good threads in the recipe section here and a couple on the go at the moment in chat.

Brilliant! Thanks very much! Will search out the other threads and the recipe section!
