Far too many eating plums- now stewed- what to do?

MY mum gave me a few kilos of eating plums, the yellow and red type as opposed to big burgundy ones. As several were on the edge of going over, I have just stewed them with sugar- what should I do with them?

Crumble? Can I add anything to them? (vanilla, lemon juice??)

As they are with vanilla ice cream? Custard? What would be nice?

Any ideas welcome.

How about cinammon rather than vanilla? And eat them with anything - on toast, with greek yoghurt, on porridge.

They are probably fairly tart so I don't think you'd need to add lemon juice.

Cold plums with hot custard would also be good. Personally I wouldn't bother with a crumble if you've already cooked them - they might go extra mushy.

Have a big bag of plums sitting on the kitchen worktop awaiting similar treatment.

Roll out some puff pastry on a baking tray (as big as you can fit it) & put the plums in the middle, leaving a gap around the edges so the pastry can puff up. Grate some marzipan over the top & then bake until the pastry is cooked.
