how do I get rid of the fat on top of lamb hotpot?

Or at least get it to mix in with the gravy and not float on the top. It looks nasty. Tastes lovely, but floating globules of fat isn't a good look!

Bread!

Use a slice or too of plastic white bread and it soaks up all the fat on the surface!

You need to do it carefully or it soaks up the gracy too

if you have time the best thing to do is to let it go cold and then just lift it off. If you are in a hurry draw a slice of white bread over the surface and that will absorb some of the fat.

you can use kitchen roll and dab it on too
