But we haven't had a good frost yet have we ??

I love them btw, but I love them ala my Mummy, slightly mushy, not al dente as per DH.

spidermama · 13/11/2005 19:35

Fact Women fart more than men, but men's farts are smellier.

RTKangaMummy · 13/11/2005 19:38

al dente here

We've had them for a few weeks, Infact they are ds (4) favourtie food! Just in front of parsnips.

spidermama · 13/11/2005 19:43

Ladysherlock has correctly pointed out that sprouts ought not to be harvested until after the first frost, but at this rate there won't be a frost here at all so I can't wait.

Kanga

You are mad.........

In that case I shall have some next week, we are having a mini Christmas dinner, DH is obsessed with the idea of getting a goose.

We are having a trial run, because if we had it for the first time on Christmas day and it was horrid, he would be a marked man in more ways than one .

Janh · 13/11/2005 20:20

First??? We've been having them for about a month (although I do have to knock DS2 over and sit on his chest to force them in)

kalex · 13/11/2005 20:21

meant first time re Goose.

Eve · 13/11/2005 20:24

OH...I love sprouts.

I am the only person in our house who does, though DS(1) tried a leaf of 1 today and declared it not too bad.

I also like them slightly mushy and they have a similar affect on me as well.

We had roast chicken, with roast potatoes, roast sweet potatoes/carrots/parsnips and sprouts....& gravy.

I love winter sunday dinners!

Janh · 13/11/2005 20:25

Actually there are 3 people in my house who love them and 3 who don't, but the non-lovers have declared them more palatable this year; I wonder if the lack of frost has anything to do with it?
