I seem to have an excess of both in my fridge--any ideas for using them up

Melt the creme fraiche with grated cheese for a very quick cheese sauce for pasta. Or mine like it stirred into pasta with smoked salmon trimmings and thawed, frozen peas.

Another popular thing for natural yoghurt is to mix it with curry paste and stir it through cooked pasta. Top with some chunks of tomato and rocket leaves. OR mix the yoghurt with grated cucumber with the liquid squeezed out it and some chopped mint leaves. Chill and serve with toasted pita strips.

A lovely yoghurty curry
A lemon yoghurt cake
Creme fraiche spread on a pizza base and topped with bacon and fried onions to make flammekuchen
Make toast, cut into squares (or make/buy blini), dollop of creme fraiche and top with either smoked salmon or a spoonful of caviare/lumpfish roe
Make up a jar of salad dressing made with either yoghurt or creme fraiche, some mayo, herbs, anchovy paste, lemon juice and garlic (i think this is called green goddess dressing)

Yoghurt and curry sauce makes a nice marinade for chicken - dice, thread onto a kebab and grill. Add peppers and onions onto teh kebab stick if you like - yum.

StressedHEmum's creme fraiche cheesy sauce is a good 'un - my boys are having that tonight.

Failing that, buy or make some choc brownies, warm them up and dollop creme fraiche on top. Mmmmmmmmm.
