Cake Advice - Need something special

Hi all,

It is soon my turn to bake for our Cake Club and I am a bit stumped for what to make as it needs to be something I haven't made before.

I bake a lot so am happy to do something a bit more difficult. Do any of you have a fab recipe you can share with me? It's for a group of girls so chocolate always goes down well but isn't essential.

I have an amazing Rachel Allen recipe for an Almond Praline cake. Its a fair bit of work, make your own praline etc and is pretty expensive, 6 eggs in the icing alone. I can post it if you are interested. But only if you are really interested, as its bloody long and I can't see it online to link.

Taffeta, which book is it in? I am interested and have about 3 of her books so may have the recipe save you posting it. Thanks.

I've got the G&B book but haven't made anything from it - will deffo try that lemon and choc one now; thanks for the rec. What else must I try then?
