can i use frozen mix veg in slow cooker?

Forgot to buy carrots. Making sausage hot pot. Have no other veg but frozen. Can I put them in?

Yes you can.

I do all the time. Just remember that they are watery due to being frozen and the slow cooker holding moisture, you might need to thicken the sauce a bit.

I use corn flour or add a few potatoes chopped really small, so they break down and thicken.

Thanks. Just found I only have carrot, cauliflower and broccoli mix. Think they may break up too much. DS1 said he would go to shop for me.Smile

My DC don't like broccoli in the slow cooker as it makes everything green. Grin
