Do you have the kind of steamer we want?

We have a long handled non-multi stainless steel steamer which is our best steamer (fast and efficient). We want a spare steamer set (steamer & pot underneath) We don't want a multi-size steamer because have one already which is rubbish (very slow, holes too small). I don't like cooking in plastic, so the tall plastic electric steamer sets seem to be out.

Wicker basket and folding steel models: pants. Not sure about a hanging basket style -- holes look too small.

The closest I can find is not long handled, but might be good otherwise, Judge or Horwood?

What do you have and how well do you like it?

We've got one like the one you link to from John Lewis. I love it, was the only pan we had in our little flat in London six years ago and now serves us just as well for cooking new potatoes and salmon for a hungry toddler. It was quite expensive (think about £60) but we use it several times a week and it has withstood plenty of abuse :)

I have a Judge steamer and it is really good. Pretty big and i often only use one tier as there are only 3 of us and a toddler. i wouldnt waste my time on another type- simple and effective. Use the water once finished for gravy for taste and nutrients too.

Which link, Helza??

DH is keen to have the single ong handle, he finds the double short handle ones painful to use (he does most the cooking, I find two small handles merely awkward, single long handle much easier). We can't find anybody who does a single long handle 18cm steamer, preferably with matching saucepan (boohoo).

Clearview with long handles is what we already have, has been brilliant, just wanted a good spare!
