Mine is called 'Broken biscuit cake' and is v.v. yummy.
6oz plain chocolate
2 tbs golden syrup
2 1/2 oz sultanas (optional,if you like them, sling them in)
6oz broken biscuits (I usually use digestives,I guess any would do as long as no
'middle')
Tin 7 1/2 diam
Grease tin.Melt choc & syrup in a pan. Stir in sultanas and broken biscuits.Turn into tin and pack down well.Leave overnight or until set. Turn out;cut with saw edged knife.

I break the biscuits in a resealable plastic bag, with rolling pin(love it,very theraputic).
Also, if you do 9oz,3,4,9 it fit very well into 11"X7" (roughly) oblong tin.

The Daily Mail had a recipe to the actual rich tea royal one iirc, can't do a link as I'm on phone but you could google....

Thanks. Harbinger, yours sounds yummy. Could I substitute glace cherries for the raisins do you think?
Berri - will Google the Royal version.

I think glace cherries would be fine. I don't think apricots etc would work.
