How do I make soft (not crusty) rolls? Need to make some for BBQ tomorrow and DH hates crusty rolls

Can't seem to find a recipe anywhere. Bought a bread mix to make rolls but just realised they will most likely be crusty when made. Any ideas?

Thanks

Use warm milk instead of water.

Why don't you just buy some? Seriously, rather than fannying around trying to please a husband who is fussy about bread (ffs!) why don't you just nip to Tesco?

I hate crusty rolls too. We had these ones today for a picnic. Buttermilk baps also soft and a lot quicker. We make them all the time.

When they come out of the oven cover them with a tea towel.
But really what coldiz said, or get him to make them.

Because all the shops had run out. And my dh has food issues. He is not demanding anything I wanted to make them for him. Is this the food topic or AIBU? Fuck off unless you are giving recipe advice. Many thanks to everyone else.

Nikki, try not to be an objectionable tosser. You asked for food advice, I gave food advice. I'm not going to grovel because you didn't like it, this is a forum, not a helpdesk.
