Monday - chicken thighs with basil and lemon and garlicky/rosemary potato wedges

Tuesday - Shepherd's Pie

Wednesday - Spaghetti Carbonara

Thursday - Crab and coriander quesadillas

Friday - Thai prawn curry and sticky sushi rice

Saturday - make it up from what's in the fridge

Sunday - Roast Chicken etc etc

Shepherd's Pie with leftover lamb is yummmmmmmmy and one of my favourites! I hack the meat off the bone, and give a quick whizz in magimix. Then brown the bone in quite hot oven with a carrot, celery and a few cloves of unpeeled garlic for about half an hour and then make a nice rich lamb stock (only yields about 1/2 - 3/4 pint, but worth it for the flavour. Then make a mincey thing with the lamb/onions/carrots etc and lob in the stock, bit of worcestertertershire sauce - very tasty.

Storminabuttercup how'd you get on with your Shepherd's Pie???

Blimey I'm late. I did actually plan the week though, partly to clear space in the freezer for all our camping food.

Monday: Chicken and leek pie (made from carcass scavenged from my mother's on Saturday, stock from said carcass and bulked up with a spud)
Tuesday: Paella to use up random bits (6 prawns, half chorizo, one bit of chicken) from the freezer plus chicken stock from Monday.
Wednesday: Beetroot soup and feta for grown ups, pumpkin soup for boys (all from freezer). And possibly fizzy wine because I will have submitted a draft thesis today.
Thurs: My friend and her granny are randomly coming for lunch, so we'll have asparagus quiche at lunch time and then fish cakes from the freezer for tea.
Fri: going camping, so bacon sarnies and whiskey for every meal all weekend. Hurray!

God only knows what we'll eat next week though.
