DS2 wanted to buy them as he read the label saying they were good for his bones Grin. I have been trying to say fruit only between meals and you have just had X but really is it a pick your battle time? I have food issues that only DH knows about so want to bring my kids up to eat well and see it as fuel but they just eat all day long sometimes.

My children have days when all they want to do is eat. They have no weight issues and are very active, so I usually let them eat when they say they're hungry, but I sometimes distract them with a drink instead if I know they can't possibly be in need of more food ie when they've just eaten a 3 course meal.

Some kids do eat all day long all the time. Some do it sometimes. Some never do.

Children eat to their appetite.

yup, some kids like to graze, some like to fill up at one meal then go for hours. some are a mixture of both just to keep you on your toes!

Mine are all slim and DD has a fragile body and needs things to strengthen her bones but she stops when she is full. DH offers them fruit sometimes and they don't want it so he says they can't be hungry but sometimes we want something else so why shouldn't they. I try and say fruit between meals but tbh eat a lot of fruit and veg.
