substitute for pork belly/ sausage in a bean casserole

any suggestions pls? We don't eat pork and I have a lovely bean stew recipe but to make it more substantial I wanted to add meat just not the 2 mentioned.
What would you recommend?

You could always try veggie sausages, or beef sausages. Corned beef (old fashioned I know!) would probably work too. Otherwise would be tempted to put something like chicken wings in.

yes, perhaps chicken meat, leg rather than breast?

Beef cheeks or shin or skirt - assuming you will be cooking it long and slow - but all three cuts will lend their marvellous flavour and gelatinous qualities in the same way pork belly would (only better!!!)
