Thai fish sauce out of the fridge

Advice please

I've got a barely used bottle of Thai fish sauce (Nam Pla) that I was going to use in a recipe tomorrow but on the side of the bottle it says that it should be kept in the fridge. It's been open for about 4 weeks. Will it really have to come to harm given how salty it is?

Thanks

I would say it will be fine. We lived in Bangkok and the bottles of nam pla were kept on the side of the road in the searing heat.
I was going to say smell it, but it stinks so badly you won't be able to tell if it is on the turn Wink.
Can you give some to the cat and monitor its behavior?
Seriously, I would use it if I could bring myself to go anywhere near it.
