Can you get cake toppers on teh high street?

Hi,

Have only just discovered teh existance of cake toppers, and they would solve all of my problems in delivering DD a peppa pig cake...however all I see is them online and need the ake on Sunday. Any high street vendors?

Where are you? I think you'd be looking for a specialist cake shop, rather than a chain store.

Although Hobbycraft might do them - they do quite a bit of cake decorating stuff.

I'm in teh midlands. I was looking on teh Hobbycraft website and that don't seem to...doesn'rt mean they won't instore theough.

I guess my other alternative is to get edible paper and pens and draw my own.

Yes, why not just use plastic figures on top of a pink cake? Perfect!

Has to be a choc cake with ganache on top (she doesn't like icing or jam).

I was thinking figuines but thought it might be naff.

Can you do a chocolate cake with chocolate Ganache and then put a small sheet/ circle of fondant and some Peppa Pig figures on top of that? I've never seen Cake toppers to buy, only online

OK....results on profile.

Couldn't get teh figures I wanted but local cake decorating shop sold every colour under teh sun icing in quantities you requested (as opposed to full packets) so I decided to have a go.

Characters on my profile (hopefully)...they are going to sit on a patch of green grass when I have done the ganache. I might have another go later as I have loads of icing left see if I can improve. I think George is a bit big.

I also managed to get Peppa candles. Will put finished results up tomorrow.
