Can you buy MACARONI?

I am not asking much, I think. I do not seem able to buy macaroni anywhere now. First the little quick cook macaroni I grew up with disappeared off the shelves of Sainsburys and now all macaroni seems to have disappeared from any supermarket. I don't want all those fancy pastas. Just macaroni. Anyone else buy it and if so, where from?

Yuk, can't understand why anyone would want to buy macaroni. But I am weird and don't like pasta at all.

agree with odd shortages..there was a shreddies shortage for weeks earlier in the year

the other week went to our super size tescos and they had effing squid ink coloured and flavoured corriochiola from the pelaponnese forest or whatever but not bloody macaroni
I went blistering down to customer services who said demand for more modern pastas had changed the way they ordered pasta
Today they rung me to tell me they had it
I stocked up...
I do not make it often but when I want it I REALLY WANT IT....

We've got it down here in Poole. They'd better not stop making it. I love macaroni cheese and now I've had dd and discovered that it really isn't that hard to make a cheese sauce I can make one that's as good as my mum's.

does anybody make macaroni pudding?

Surfermum, I know, going without macaroni would be like going without spaghetti and no I am not interested in linguine or green spaghetti or any other fancy pastas - at least, not when I want to make good old fashioned macaroni cheese. What I find interesting is that any supermarket sells macaroni cheese in a tin, so why not the raw ingredients?

Oh that is no good for us then as my kids don't like rice pudding (though I do!)
