Right, me and DH need to go on a bit of a health kick - we've been eating lovely crap for too long.

Any suggestions for nice, exciting, treat-like yummy foods/meals which are also healthy? I want to start off in a way that doesn't feel too depressing.

So far I've got:

fillet steak
asparagus
prawns
exotic fruit/melon etc
posh salad leaves
exciting sauces like some weird wasabi-inspired dipping thingy

And finally the whole herbs and spices back catalogue together with garlic, ginger, chilli peppers etc. Worst mistake to make with healthy eating is to make it bland. One of my favourite treat low-cal foods is a sumptuous indian Dal made with a green lentil base but elevated with roasted cumin seeds, mustard seeds, fenugreek, chilli pepper, fresh coriander and so on.... served with a little basmati and some fresh cucumber raita on the side. Drool...
