Frozen homemade soup - can I rehat without defrosting?

Or should I get it out to defrost first?

I usually bung it in the microwave on the defrost setting for a bit, then put it back in on full heat.

I'm sure someone will come and tell me I'm going to contract some sort of horrid gastro-disease from doing it though, however I've always been fine doing it!

It's fine to reheat without defrosting, as long as you heat it up to boiling point before eating it.

Microwave is easiest.

No. It is bound to defrost as it heats up.

(Sorry, couldn't resist :) )

I always reheat in the pan straight from frozen. (No microwave, otherwise, I'd use that)

Haven't died yet! Smile

Same as Anon, I'd just put it on lowest heat and leave it while you go and have a nice glass then bring it up to simmer when it's defrosted.
