Ds and DD are 3 and 2 and I've always tried to buy them organic full fat milk as Ifelt it was bst for them. NOw that new Omega 3 milk has come out and I don't knwo wheteher to get that or stick to the organic. And should they still be getting ff milk or semi skimmed? 'Major' dilemma I know (haha) but just wondered if anyone had any info.
Cheers

Personally I'm sticking to organic - it's been shown that organic milk has more omega fats in than non-organic, plus the cows aren't fed so many anti-biotics, etc, so you don't get nasty residues.

I'm sticking to organic, too. I tried the Omega-3 eggs and burped up fish tastes later that evenng.

yes you CAN taste the fish oils in it (yuk!) (the milk that is!

definitely go for orgainc milk from happy cows rtather than non organic milk from unhappy cows with fish oil in.

If you read the pack you need 2 huge glasses for a very ssmall portion of RDA omega 3 anyway, and organic milk is naturally higher in omega 3 than non organic!

I did try, rather feebly it has to be admitted, to research the relative merits of Columbus eggs (the ones with added Omegas) and organic eggs; but no-one was very forthcoming on it, so again I'm sticking to organic. I was told that organic Columbus eggs would be considerably more expensive.

Organic milk is naturally higher in omega 3s and the St Ivel milk hardly gives you any anyway. Better off giving a supplement or plenty of oily fish and organic milk IMO.
Semi-skimmed is fine from this age.

organic milk everytime! i don't like having natural things with 'added goodness'. as said befor ethw organic milk is higher in omega3 anyway and if i was going to supplement woukld rather do it witha supplement than added by an unknown.

i beleive semi skimmed is ok from 2.5 yo, have been giving it to my ds2 since he was about 18 months though as no one else drank full fat!
