I really didn't think much of it! Everyone always recommends it on here.

I now have 2 portions in the freezer as I can't bear waste! Would much rather eat the sausages as they are..

Is there anything I can mix it into rather than let it sit in my freezer for ages?!

I thought it was a bit strange and sweet - dont think we will be having it again any time soon!

i thought it was a bit weird, the texture of the sausage - but it gets us all eating veg because its all blended, the kids gobble it down, its nice heated up for lunch the next day, and dh likes it cold for lunch at work. Me and the kids don't have chilli in ours, but dh does. What don't you like about it? texture or taste?

AnnieWinehouse · 05/04/2011 21:21

I've done it but without the blending and I thought it tasted very good. I also added some extra chillies... so just chop the sausages into chunks...
too late for that though, if it's already cooked and frozen!

Could you mix it in with a vegan curry create something StreetFoodish?

midnightexpress · 05/04/2011 21:29

It's not nearly as nice as the River Cafe sausage pastas (in the blue book). They are the definition of yum. I agree about the texture of the sausages int eh JO one being funny.

For reference, next time. Grin

Oh forgot about this thread, it had never appeared in my I'm On threads. Weird!

I made this in March AnnieWinehouse. The freezer portions have already been eaten Grin

Funny enough the freezer portions were a lot nicer, maybe because they had a bit more cooking time. Tbh it was just a bit like a bolognese with a difference, I had higher expectations! Grin

I will check the River Cafe book out thanks, love a cook book. I have never made or eaten a vegan curry! Do you have any links Chaos?

I was taking the proverbial you doily!

Unless of course you think adding ground up saysages to a vegan curry is destinii-ed to become a new classic?

TragicallyHip · 06/04/2011 12:15

I have my moments Chaos I really do! Grin
