I say an ingredient, you say the first complementary ingredient that comes to mind, then throw another ingredient into the mix.

Grin

I'll start.

salmon

Ok. How about blueberries?

Curlybrunette · 02/03/2011 11:31

Blueberries make me think of blueberry muffins.

My next ingredient is
chorizo

TorcherQueenie · 02/03/2011 11:31

Blueberry and Banana pancakes DD's favourite breakfast Grin

Lets do something a little more uncommon from my strange range of freezer foods - Goat.

Jacksmania · 02/03/2011 15:36

Hmmm... ok, for chorizo: yam.

Why yam, you ask? Jamie's Spicy Yam and Chorizo Soup. YUM!

Goat????? Errr.... um. Broth... goat's stew? [boggled emoticon]

New ingredient: pecans.

TorcherQueenie · 02/03/2011 15:42

Pecan pie Smile

I was thinking the response would be goat curry! Grin We're a fan of eating anything that won't poison us!

Next : Diced pork

poptyping1 · 02/03/2011 15:43

pork in cider

Jacksmania · 02/03/2011 16:19

Pork goulash. YUM.

New ingredient: mango.

poptyping1 · 02/03/2011 17:20

chutney

Curlybrunette · 02/03/2011 18:14

Hmmm next ingredient
Beetroot

candleshoe · 02/03/2011 21:00

Bleugh!

Jacksmania · 03/03/2011 04:13
Curlybrunette · 03/03/2011 12:50

Ha! I don't really like it, I did do a roasted beetroot and goats cheese thing once, it was ok ish. Just wondered if you had any wonder recipes to make me want to eat it.

It's the colour I think, reminds me of eating a blood clot

What about this instead:
rocket

candleshoe · 03/03/2011 16:53

ooo yummy

rocket with balsamic dressing and some tiger prawns

new one: rhubarb

TorcherQueenie · 03/03/2011 17:58

Rhubarb and ginger jam! My husband loves this my neighbour always gives us masses of rhubarb during the summer so I made that as theres only so much rhubarb crumble one can eat!

Next : checks freezer Smoked Haddock.

Jacksmania · 03/03/2011 20:49

Rhubarb pie... mmmm.....

Oops Blush - missed the smoked haddock.

Hmmm. Not a seafood lover so I'd just chuck it in the bin and start over with a roast chicken :o but in the spirit of the game, I'll suggest... umm.... errr.... hmmm....

Curlybrunette · 03/03/2011 21:31

Kedgeree.

Don't know why on earth I'm finding it tricky to think of another ingredient...

How about lemon curd

candleshoe · 03/03/2011 23:29

Easiest and most impressive 'cheat' pudding you'll ever make ...

Line a tin with cling film and leave it overhanging.
Put in broken chunks of meringue
Daub in globs of LEMON CURD (good stuff mind - no cheap rubbish)
Fill in gaps with good vanilla ice-cream
Squash down
Put in freezer
To serve turn upside down on plate and remove cling film and slice like a cake

VOILA - lemon meringue ice-cream gateau!

New ingredient: butternut squash

candleshoe · 04/03/2011 19:39

OK then - you obviously don't like butternut squash - what about ....

bananas

Curlybrunette · 04/03/2011 21:55

That pudding sounds gorgeous. Will def add that to my recipe book.

I'm a bit funny about bananas, I only really like them as bananas, not in any other recipe (does that make sense!).

But if I think about bananas I guess I immediately think of banoffi pie.

Next one:
sausages
