white chocolate ganache on Nigella's choc birthday cake?

have got a rice paper cake topper for DD1's birthday, so will need a pale icing for it to show up properly. do you think Nige's chocolate cake (the condensed milk one) would work with white choc ganache? otherwise what other pale iced cake could i do given that we don't like royal type icing?

Is that the cake from How To Eat? (If it is), IMHO, that is a good cake which will suit most icings! So if you're looking for a pale icing, you could do white choc ganache as you say, or a plain (or pale tinted) buttercream, or a cream cheese icing if you want it to be less sweet.

What is the topper? And how old is she (drifts off, thinking of cake...)

ooh, thanks.. yes it's the one from how to eat. we've got a disney princess cake topper from ebay, as dd1 requested a princess cake and i cannot ice for toffee.
