JO's Pregnant Jool's Pasta - yay or nay?

Have been flicking through my stash of recipe books and I have nearly all the ingredients I need to concoct this recipe tonight. Is it worth going out in the rain to get me some fennel seeds??
Also, I am lacking a fod processor - will that be a major stumbling block or will some god old fashioned chopping do the trick? Smile

Is definitely worth getting the fennel seeds, they make the dish IYSWIM, although I used caraway seeds once when I ran out, and that worked OK. Chopping will be a bit of a pain, the veg needs to be very finely chopped to cook in that time frame, almost minced. It's lovely though.

I will dig my kagoul out and hunt down some fennel seeds - thanks!
Just wondering, would a hand blender do a similar job as the FP as I do have one of those (from the godawful days of pureeing!)

I don't have a food processor, I use my mini chopper for the veg and then just squidge up the sausage.

Chopping and squidging it is - thanks guys!

Update!
I have chopped, squidged and hand blended - looks very well mixed up to me!
Tis now in the fridge till the bambinos go to bed when it can be enjoyed with a bottle glass of wine. Wine Chin, chin!
