Here's the flapjack recipe from Teaandcakeplease, another mn poster.
220g soft brown sugar
220g butter or margarine
2 rounded spoons of golden syrup, (I used maple syrup... being Canadian and all. lol)
350g porridge oats
You can add 1 and a half teaspoons of ground ginger for an added dimension.
I also added walnuts and raisins. Its so easy peasy recipe
Melt the butter, sugar and syrup over a gentle heat, then pour in the oats, mix well and then put in a lightly greased square baking tin, and press flat. Cook at 300F/ 150C for 40 mins. Take them out (they still look soft, but that's ok) wait 10 mins and then genetly cut them into oblong bars. Leave until completely cool before removing from the tin.
They are sublime but dead fattening. 120 may have a recipe too.
