Healthy Eating - What do you eat in a week?

Have just lost a stone through a shake diet and want to keep on losing but in a controlled enjoyable way. I just wondered what everybody percieves as healthy eating or what you normally eat so you either maintain your body weight or actually lose weight.

Thanks in advance,

Jules

I try not to eat bread during the week as I found eating sarnies/rolls at lunchtime and toast for breakfast wasn't conducive to losing weight. I also try not to eat too many potatoes and pasta - although I do have pasta usually once a week.
No biscuits between meals either - although sometimes it's difficult not too.
Also found that eating the leftover of the kids breakfast/lunch/dinner wasn't good either
Alcohol is another baddie... now try and have only a couple of nights with a glass of wine.

I don't know about in a week but this is what I ate today:

Big bowl of oats, banana, pear, raisins, sunflower and pumpkin seeds, with soya milk.

Hummus, 2 slices wholemeal bread. Half a raisin and cinnamon bagel with butter. Another banana.

Barley risotto with leeks, courgette, peas, and broccoli. Apple, kiwi. Low fat natural yogurt with sliced banana and raisins.

Pints of redbush tea with copious soya milk in.

This maintains my weight, but I am also fairly active (don't drive) and breastfeeding at the moment. It was interesting to write down, actually, I hadn't realised how many bananas I ate.

I suggest 3 balanced (protein/carbs/fat) meals a day & no rubbish - ie no biscuit's, crisps, diet drinks, diet yogurts. Lots of water between meals.

Also weight yourself on each monday morning & keep a food diary for the first couple of weeks so you can see how your weight loss goes. if it continues at a rate of 2lb a week, you're doing great ! if it's not at an acceptable rate, by looking at the food diary, you'll be able to see where you can cut back - might be smaller portions, less bread/cheese etc.

Yes, tinker, a whole raisin would have set my perfect, carb counted, GI balanced meal in disarray.

Ok, that was "half a bagel (raisin and cinnamon flavour)".

I got WW gold after losing 4st and live in a permanent panic that I'm going to put weight back on. I'm in Aus at the moment so I'm away from my normal food. I've always found it much harder to maintain than lose.

Today I ate:

Breakfast: fruit salad (fresh from deli)
Lunch: Turkish bread with chicken, tomato & mushroom. No butter. Fruit salad from deli
Dinner: Cos lettuce, ww grated cheese, tbsp caesar dressing, croutons. WW icecream.

To maintain I tend to follow a 'diet' during the week and then eat what I like at weekends. This normally entails eating and drinking masses 'because I'm allowed'!.
