slow cooked leg of lamb

I have a leg of lamb for tomorrow night which I want to do in the slow cooker. Can I brown the meat tonight and then keep it in the fridge before putting on pre work tomorrow morning? Or do I have to brown it and straight away slow cook it?
I work with a long commute so don't really want to have to get up extra early to sear it tomorrow morning if I don't have to.
Thanks {grin}

I never brown my meat - just chuck it in with whatever I'm doing it with and switch it on. Smile

Oh really? That's even easier! What else do you put in for flavour?

Don't brown it - I do mine with garlic, 2 red peppers, 3 onions, tin chopped toms, cup of red wine, 3 tbsp redcurrent jelly and whatever herbs you have. Yum Yum.....

I do lamb shanks - but mixed diced carrot, onion swede about 1/4 pint water and a stock cube

At the end - take out the shanks (tricky cos they all fall apart) and stir in a tablespoon of mcdougalls thickening granules.

serve with mash - delicious!
