Is there a quick way to cook dried lentils/barley/peas?

I have decided to make a beef stew and have a bag of pulses to add to it (obviously not all of the bag!) And in my normal unpreparedness I read the instructions which say to soak them overnight before cooking which I haven't got time to do. Is there a way to speed up the process i.e boiling them for a while before adding to the stew? My mum usually uses a pressure cooker but I haven't got one. The mix has pearl barley, split yellow and green peas, red lentils and aduki beans.
Any advice will be helpful! :)

I hate those mixes myself because the different ingredients take different times to cook and by the time your aduki beans are tender the red lentils will be a mushy fluff! But I digress.....

Place everything in a pan with plenty of water. Bring to a boil, turn off the heat and then allow to soak for an hour. They should all swell up and then you can drain and add them to your casserole to cook as normal
