Purchase a pack of Atora suet. We use the vegetarian version.

It has a recipe on the packet. Something like, 2oz if suet to 4 oz of flour and about 5 tablespoons of water. Mix it with a fork or with your hands until pliable then make into 8 golf ball sized balls.

You do not need to put them in the oven. I usually put mine on top of the casserole in a pressure cooker for 20 minutes or if using the oven, put on top of the casserole and heat for 3 hours on gas 3ish. Doing it in the oven would give them a crust though.

cool thank you, also it sounds weird but i've made a lamb casserole and there isn't enough lamb to go round between our family and guests coming later.

I have diced beef Hmm

could I put the both in the same pot, baring in mind i've put fresh mint and rosemary in the fresh mint and rosemary in the casserole,

I've already bluked it oput with poatoes, everyone will be getting 2 cubes of lamb otherwise

Should be fine to mix beef and lamb I think.
