Hello, I am doing an afternoon tea for my veggie Sil and other meat eating guests.
I need a plain iced cake, who does the best?
She doesn't have milk but has spread suitable for veggies.
I was thinking mini rolls of quorn, cucumber, jam? Then ham for meat eaters?
Crisps and nibbles
And little biscuits and cakes.
Maybe quorn sausages? And the equilvent for meat eaters?
I don't know her amazingly well and I know she and her other half are very particular anyhow.
I just found out she doesn't drink hot drinks so am making cloudy lemonade.
This is going to give me a headache!
Any tips and veggie food ideas welcome

I apologise for being very naive I will give her the list of food I'm going to do so there are no surprises.

Tia :)

I mean they are particular about absolutely everything in life not her being a veggie!

Sounds like she's fussy. I'd be happy with crudites and hummus, maybe mini bruschetta? I know a few veggies who don't eat quorn either (not me). Maybe a fruit platter and a big chock full salad too?

what about sandwiches with vegetarian pate (in the free from section).

Ooh crudités and dip that is a good idea. She does eat quorn so that's something. She is fussy but her meat eating other half is worse. I think I may as well get him a happy meal and be done with it!
Veggie pate will look for that.
Jam just seems a bit childish. I think I will keep the rolls savoury.
What about a cake? Any thoughts?
Thank you both :)
