Can't taste the garlic in anything I cook! What am I doing wrong?

That's about it really

I chop it up into very small pieces, it smells gorgeous while it's cooking but when we come to eat we just can't taste it in the food

Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?

Do you add at the beginning of a recipe? If cooked for too long the taste lessens and it just leaves a slightly bitter taste.

Add it later in the recipe and it should work.

Also garlic is not at it's best at this time of the year.

Put in more...?

Maybe you're pregnant - pregnancy makes some people smell and taste things differently.

Defo not pregnant so can't be that

SV you could have something there, yes I do put it in at the start. Will try adding it later, and putting more in as TA suggested

Thanks folks Smile
