what about his weight?

xxmellxx · 13/02/2011 20:52

i took him to the health visitor to get him weighed and he has not put an ounce on in the past 4 weeks. i try to give him jam sandwich for breakfast, n finger foods for lunch and dinner. he only drinks his milk and now he is 11 months old.. just dont no where to turn now

there are a few bugs around at the moment which are causing kids to lose their appetite. as long as he's hydrated i wouldn't worry. my DS is skinny and when he was a similar age, the slightest sniffle and he'd go on food strike and you could see the weight falling off. But he's survived!

If your DS is taking milk, then he's getting calories. His appetite will come back i'm sure.

It does take a while for them to get back on track after an illness. Try not to worry and offer small plates or bowls of different tidbits. He'll soon come round.
