What can I do with the four boxes of minces pies in the freezer?

I need the space, so they have to go.

We are bored of eating mince pies either hot or cold and it doesn't seem right this side of Christmas. Any ideas of what I can do with them or they'll just have to go in the bin and I hate waste.

Anyone? - they're out of the freezer now and heading for the bin.

can you defrost them and scrap out the mince meet and place jam inside and disgard the lids?

THROW THEM AWAY????? Are you nuts, woman?? Eat them. I'd chew your hand off for mincepies and a cuppa tea right now! Envy

I'm still eating mine bought before Christmas. Best before 27th Dec 2010 and they're absolutely fine :-) One box to go.

If you want to do something other than scoff or chuck them, try chopping up into pieces and stirring into softened good-quality vanilla ice-cream, then refreezing. You could add a drop of brandy at the same time (not too much or you'll stop if from freezing). If not vanilla, rum and raisin?

Take them to a local old people's home or homeless shelter where I am sure they will be appreciated. It is morally wrong to waste perfectly good food.

Actually, that's a much better idea. If you have the time, offer to sit and have a cup of tea while they get eaten.
