HIPP follow on milk tastes NASTY or is it just me?

Hi everyone, I breastfed my DS exclusively until 6 months, then started introducing rice cererals, mixed with a bit of formula milk (the ready made stuff in the little tetrapacks).

I never expressed and I didn't want to start buy a machine now, tried hand expressing but was too difficult so figured using a little bit of formula would be the answer.

I just switched to the HIPP follow on milk and I think it tastes horrible - as if it is off, but it can't be as it's a new pack. Maybe it's just like the bad taste of UHT milk?

Did anyone else find this? Is the powdered stuff better, or do other brands taste better?

Thanks very much!!!!

No it won't be off. It's just horrible. I never gave dd follow on milk, powdered stuff is more economical.

don't know, but do you really need formula if it's just for mixing food with? i use normal cow's milk on my ds's (6 months) cereal. it's fine for cooking etc, just not as a main drink before a year.

All formula milk taste awful! Your DS can have cows mil on ceral and in food from 6 months

As Woodlands says, cows milk here too for adding to cereal & cooking.
Follow-on milk is a bit of a con TBH.

That's really helpful, thanks! I'll just use cows milk then. So many things to learn... :)
