To make potatoe pancakes do I need an electric potatoe grater or food processor?

I am looking for an electric grater as I cannot manage with a normal one. It takes very long and then my hands hurt. Then it takes some time to fry the potatoe pancakes from both sides. So, if you do make potatoe pancakes then what do you use to grate them?
Many thanks!

Anyone can recommend a good electric machine for shredding potatoes finely? I need it to make potatoe pancakes. I have found Kenwood food processor for £29.00 at Argos but its capacity 0.8 l only. I have heard that some food processors do not grate potatoes very well leaving big lumps.

I use the grating disc on my magimix - no problems with lumps.

Oh magimix is over £100.00 but probably it is a very good machine, just like Braun. At the moment I can afford only something cheap.
