nononono
gypsy toast (or "gypo" ) is fried bread, fried in the frying pan at the end of the fry up so you get all the crispy bits of bacon and egg white on it.
(Franny, are you heaving??)

I can't believe I keep coming back to this thread...I am going to have to undertake a water and lemon juice detox cleansing ritual after reading that last post.

spookyserenity · 08/10/2005 12:19

I really really want some, but we have no bread in the house

LadySherlockofLGJ · 08/10/2005 13:14

We had it for breakfast ..............it was yummy, taunting emotion.

Yum, buffy! That sounds heavenly. In the States, they eat streaky bacon rather than rashers. Some people in the southern US will save the bacon grease in a old coffee or peanut can, and fry up their eggs in that. Mmmmm. Tastes absolutely delicious!
