While doing my online shop I noticed this ridiculously overblown-sounding product: 'Plum Baby Organic Supersnacks Spelt Fingers With Pomegranate'

In other words, breadsticks dipped in fruit.

How about their 'Organic Baby Supersnacks breadsticks with mild pecorino cheese'?

I'm sure the foods are all delicious and that babies gobble them up in seconds, but please! All this heavy marketing bollocks really is too much!

do people actually eat like this themselves? Not as a treat (I wouldn't object to a pecorino breadstick), but daily, out and about, ooh-I-feel-a-bit-peckish kind of eating?

I thought the ultimate objective of feeding your baby was to get him / her to eat the same as the rest of the family, thus avoiding the 'cooking four different dinners each day' trap.

Although I do have one friend who keeps a daily record of what her child had in his packed lunch, and what his reaction was to it. The child is in Year 1. She has done this every school day since he started in reception.

I used to buy these when DS was younger because the salt levels are controlled and I could put some in the changing bag incase we ended up being out longer than planned or whatever. V.useful.

yes Alibaba ('cos DH and I don't eat wheat) but not always; it's easy to buy low salt biscs. or bread and double bake it for rusks.
