Can I freeze raw sweet potatoes and courgettes?

I have quite a lot of sweet potato and courgettes, and concerned they'll go off before I use them (esp courgette). Ok to freeze?

I'd par cook them before freezing, if you can make them into a soup or sauce so much the better.
