Not sure but I've boiled my ham and am glazing it tomorrow it thats any help.

Yes you can definitely cook it one day and glaze and roast it the next. Mine was about 4kg, and I simmered it on the hob (in ginger beer as it happens) for about 4 hours yesterday, then glazed and roasted it for about 40 mins this morning. I did take it out of the fridge a couple of hours before putting it into the oven to let it come to room temp, and I served it warm rather than hot.
