Picking it up from butcher tomorrow. There's no way it'll fit in the fridge. I'm in London. Will it be cool enough in the car?

Just remembered there's a gammon too. What about that?

My ham is in the garage.

Could you insulate it in a polystyrene box and put ice packs with it?

My car has been cool enough to freeze so be careful to thaw it out properly!

I've got the booze in the garden, I think anything else I put out will freeze! My milk was frozen on the doorstep.

As long as you keep a window open so he can breath...Grin

We put the sensor for the weather station in the car with the turkey. It went down to -1 so we moved it in and put it in cold bag with icepack!

Mine's in the garage in a Nigella bath!

I left mine in the pub.

He'll probably be well pissed by now.

Sorry, that probably isn't even funny but the thread title is.

You should never leave a turkey in a car alone, there are all sorts of unsavoury people out there, who knows what could happen to it. Honestly, even if you are just nipping to pay for some petrol, take the turkey with you. Better to be safe than sorry.

In the end we decide it would be irresponsible to leave it unattended in the car so we shut it in the unheated downstairs loo with extra ice packs!
