Bottle of white and red on a budget ... which ones would you buy?

I'm not a wine drinker so need advice, need a bottle of white to go with turkey on Christmas day and a bottle of red to go with the cheese ham etc on boxing day.

Don't want to spend more than £6/7 on each bottle.

Advice appreciated

if you want to stay traditional then i would suggest something like chablis or a californian chardonnay to go with the turkey.
for the cheese/ham i would opt for a bordeaux or a cabernet sauvignon or possibly a beaujolais

Marlborough Savignon Blanc is lovely.. you should be able to get a nice one for £6-7 (they're often discounted)

I'm not a red wine drinker, so no idea there I'm afraid

Siansbo's have some good offer at the mo:

Chablis for £6.99
Primitivo Palastri for £5.99

Both are gorgeous.
