Will post more later, but do you have a Robert Dyas hardware store near you? I noticed they had moulinex slow cookers on offer.

everyting, hang on I'll see if I can post a link to slow cooker recipes.

nowhere near me puff, but atm am too busy to shop. basically i will be ordering online, so a good deal online would be good, it will be in use most days, so a good make/model, big enough for 4 people really.

also been eying up a rice cooker, really like homemade rice pudding.

here . You can do really nice stews, lovely for winter time.

We have a rice cooker, but have never used it for rice pudding - I find that's really easy to do in the oven - pint of full fat milk, 2.5oz rice, 1oz sugar, grate of nutmeg on top and bung it in the oven on gas mark 2 for 2 hours, giving it a quick stir after half an hour or so.

Wondering about a slow cooker too - asked DH what he thought and he said his great aunt had one that blew up - am assuming they make them better now though!

Hi Blossonhill,

Well it turned out lovely then eh? I'm very impressed - you'll have to tell me how you did it - I'm tempted!! P.S. Hope you're back in the land of the living!
